Out of the Blue in Davis Square seems to be the only restaurant doing seafood in this eclectic dining neighborhood. They only do lunch on Fridays and have a few specials as well as a small lunch menu.
Their website is very sleek and modern and it kind of continues with the outside look.
I didn't really expect to find an old school traditional Italian look inside, but here we are. Nice bar to the right and a semi-open kitchen. If you don't like garlic, stay away.
Plenty of seating inside and the did attract a fairly large lunch crowd, who all seemed to know each other.
Some nice crusty bread with real butter arrives quickly. You do get linen napkins even at lunch.
I decided to splurge a bit and started with a small Fried Calamari ($8). It looked suspiciously dark but was cooked nicely and you also get tentacles. Some warm marinara sauce arrived shortly afterward.
Calamari and Linguini ($12) in white, (you have a choice of white, red and marinara) was very good with perfectly cooked calamari and linguini in a very tasty sauce. In the evening, they have dedicated parking behind the restaurant.
