The Barking Crab in Boston's Seaport district has been a landmark for about 21 years now and I was invited to their Barking Crab's Annual Tent Opening Kickoff Party.
Very nice location but parking can be a problem. You can see the tent extension further down.
Expertly shucked oysters at the raw bar. Couldn't have been fresher.
Seriously big shrimp that was perfectly cooked and you can also see the littlenecks in the foreground. The littlenecks is a favorite of mine and these were delicious and super fresh and they kept disappearing quickly.
Of course there was clam chowder and it was nice and creamy.
Razor Clams arrived and they were sweet and very tender. Delicious!
The Tuna Tartare was excellent and a bit tangy.
Too healthy for me but the Tomato and Mozzarella sticks looked really good.
Chicken Tenders were crispy and very tender (duh!). There was also Buffalo Tenders around.
The fried clams were crispy and super tender. Really nice fry job!
My favorite was the Fried Calamari and it had both rings and legs and was really crispy and tender. Another really good fry job from the kitchen.
A good time was had by everyone. The Astroturf on the floor is the same as the Patriots use.
