It's half priced wings day again, and I decided to change things up a bit and headed out to Buffalo Wild Wings in Danvers.
They are located in the Liberty Tree Mall where an Italian eatery used to be that had really good fried calamari. Plenty of parking.
The dining area is a bit smaller than the Burlington location.
The bar area held no surprises.
They usually have a special sauce, but they were out today. Chipotle BBQ. "A blend of fire-roasted chipotle pepper and BBQ flavors." Today I ordered flats only and extra crispy. The rub is not very spicy but really tasty and this preserved the crispy skin on the wings. The rub application was really skimpy, so they had not much flavor.
CARIBBEAN JERK. "An excellently exotic sauce: red peppers you love: island spices you crave". This is really my favorite since the jerk sauce is really tasty and complex without being deadly spicy.
The traditionally Buffalo wings are just called Mild, Medium or Hot. Today I went with hot, and it has a nice level of heat. Not even close to the Mango Habanero that was almost too hot for me. Despite being ordered extra crispy the wings was still tender and juicy. Carrots, Celery and Blue Cheese dressing are included. Not bad for $8+ with wings left over.
