Gene's Chinese Flatbread Cafe Woburn

If you are looking for beef and broccoli, Gene's Chinese Flatbread Cafe is not the place for you. If you are looking for food from Xian, you are in the right place. Hand-pulled noodles, savory lamb skewers, and hot and sour soups are the good stuff here. He's now open every day except Mondays. It's still cash only.

There is plenty of parking with the new communal lot open across the street.

The best I can say about the interior is that it's functional.

This is the delicious #9, and it's also $9 with tax. Cumin Lamb with hand-pulled noodles. The noodles were excellent as usual and the lamb tasty, but there were more lamb and fewer beansprouts and carrots on my last visit. Still an excellent dish. In fact, everything I have had here has been excellent.

Ouch. Dude, it is excellent street food. Not meant to be serviced at a fancy table with linen napkins.

    1. That Orange looks hideous and the chairs look like they are from Target on sale.
I wouldn't take a date there. Street food doesn't mean it has to be ugly - just look at Dakzen in Davis. Simple decor, but not assaultive. Still nice.

I'm often in Woburn, but I don't know I'd go out of my way to eat there when there are nicer looking close by. Just sayin.

  2. I can't go there without ordering their Lamb Skewers. They arethe best I've ever had.
