Horseshoe Grille North Reading

I emailed Horseshoe Grille in North Reading asking them what cut they used for their Reuben. The owner, Pat, replied with "We use a trimmed brisket flat for the Ruben" so I was really looking forward to my lunch today.

The old building was torn down in 2005 and completely rebuilt. Plenty of private parking.

They have a very nice dining room.

I grabbed a high-top in the bar.

REUBEN (14.95). "a classic … corned beef, piled high with sauerkraut, melted swiss cheese and thousand island dressing on marble rye bread, served with french fries". So what did I get? Sliced round that wasn't very tender. Where is the dressing? Absent. The waitress quickly brought more. There was only some sauerkraut in the middle of the sandwich. The bread was tasty. The fries were excellent. My waitress took my order, brought me the food and the check, and that was it. No water refill.
