Elevating My Themed Blogs: Exciting New Additions Unveiled!

Some new dishes and places have been found, and some I actually forgot to include.

The roasted potatoes from Pita Thyme in North Andover. I simply forgot to include them in my I love my Potatoes post. I always get a double order since they are just phenomenal. The rest of the food is also good.

An addition to my General Gau's writeup. General Gao's (14) from Umi in Waltham. The chicken wing was good and crispy. The menu promised chicken wings. The General Gao's was crispy, and the sauce was very pleasant. As usual, there were about 4-5 duds that were only batter with just a sliver of chicken. Ordering it extra spicy resulted in an addition of a few unopened chilis. Plenty of sauce. The rice is very pleasing. I forgot to tell them to hold the broccoli.

Another addition to I love my Potatoes post. Trackside in Peabody. Carne Alentejana (Marinated Pork & Little Necks) was $15.95, now $22.95.  The potatoes were cooked perfectly and just lightly fried. I really don't mind the skins here since the potatoes have been crisped up really nicely. The pork is tender, and it has plenty of sauce.

Update to my Indian Restaurants. Zaika in Woburn is now serving a buffet Sat-Sun. Holi in Bedford is serving a buffet Fri-Sun. Fridays have a lower-priced version.

Here's another addition to my I love my Potatoes post. This time it's the Irish Nachos ($16.95) from Horseshoe Grille in North Reading. "A skillet of sidewinder fried potatoes topped with shredded corned beef, melted cheddar, Dublin sauce, sour cream and scallions". Hold the sour cream, ick! This was excellent, especially with extra Dublin sauce. The sliced, not shredded, corned beef was tasty, and the potatoes were cooked perfectly. Sadly to say, they are not on the menu anymore.

Another additional lunch dish at Taipei Gourmet (New Ownership). Chicken w pickled greens ($10.95). This was an excellent dish with dark chicken and very tasty pickled greens. I did ask for chili oil on the side. It was kind of mild, but the dish was fine on its own. A generous serving.  The lunch dishes have now gone up to $12.95/$13.95.

The Egg Curry that I really liked is gone from the Treasury Kitchen in Burlington. They have an updated lunch menu, and the price is now $16. Here is the Chicken Saag. The masala fries and the rice are excellent. The chicken saag had plenty of chicken but was very bland. Asking for it medium didn't work at all. It's a very pleasant restaurant with impeccable service. On a subsequent visit, it was nicely seasoned and really enjoyable. The FF is not included in the lunch price anymore. The price is now $18.

This is another addition to my General Gau's writeup from China Sky in Winchester. This is how a General Gau's chicken should look. All dark meat and no batter inside and crispy on the outside. And hold the broccoli.

The pork belly noodle soup and the pork ribs with potatoes are gone from the menu at Sichuan Palace in Billerica.

I have to withdraw my recommendation for the Buffalo Mac & Cheese from My Diner in Melrose. The pasta is overcooked, and the crispy part of the crispy chicken fell off the chicken. The owner had no idea that the pasta was reheated and not cooked to order.
