Fiorella's Newton

After my last visit to Fiorella's in Newton I signed up for their Birthday Club and got a $5 off coupon as a reward and it was time to use it before it expired.

I started with the Calamari Fritti (8) from the lunch menu. "Tender calamari & cherry peppers flash~fried to perfection & served with Fiorella’s signature marinara." Again the calamari was perfectly cooked and delicious. The cherry peppers are HOT but soo delicious to nibble on. The cheesy bread with the marinara sauce is a real treat.

This is the Baby Clams (16) from the dinner menu. "Whole baby clams simmered in a light & delicious garlic~wine sauce with pecorino romano cheese, tossed with linguini." They had no issue with me ordering from the dinner menu at lunch. Cheese with clams! I don't care about traditions, this was delicious and the pasta and the clams were cooked perfectly. A bit fiddly to eat but well worth the effort.

Leftover clam shells and it was a big pile. What a delicious lunch with impeccable service.
