I had heard about O-Sha in Watertown and was looking forward to trying it.
They are located on the busy Arsenal Street and luckily they have a small parking lot off the street. Not a very exciting building.
The inside looked better. The Sushi bar is down there to the right where there is also more seating.
I started with the Spicy Duck Soup ($3.95). "Roasting duck in five spice broth Soup, bean sprout, cilantro, scallion, fried garlic." There was a good amount of very nice and tender duck hiding in there. I have had duck dishes that had way less duck in them than what was in this cheap soup. The soup was delicious and had a very nice level of heat. The soup was a steal at this price.
I followed that with the Sake Don ($9.50). "Sliced raw salmon over a bed of sushi rice served with Miso soup." This was like a Shirashi but with just salmon at basement bargain price. The salmon was nice but the rice was excellent, right temperature and seasoned properly. It was served with ponzu but I preferred it with the normal soy/wasabi combination. An excellent meal for very short money. The service was OK, it seems a common thing in Thai restaurant to get all the food at the same time. Not that the salmon would get cold by sitting there while I finished the soup, it's just annoying.
