The bad news is that Brothers Kouzina in Peabody is closing at the end of the month. The good news is that they will reopen somewhere early next year. Update: they will stay open until years end.
This really is a Rolls-Royce of a place. Sorry, couldn't resist.
Everything here is good, but the Brothers Kouzina Deluxe (14.99) is VERY good. "A mouth-watering combination of gyro and pork souvlaki". Since nothing here is a problem, I got roasted potatoes instead of rice. The potatoes are excellent, cooked perfectly and are appropriately lemony. The gyro meat is tender with some crunchy bits, and the souvlaki is tender and really well seasoned. There might be some fatty bits involved, but fat is flavor. There is a big greek salad hiding behind the souvlaki. The pita was warm and fresh. Look at all the food you get. I know what's for dinner! I'll be back later in the month for another Lamb Kokinisto. Is there anywhere else that does a good Kokinisto?
just wanted to let you know that Brptjers Kouzina isn't clpsing. I called and was told they decided to stay until the end of the year, and very possible not close at all..I will probably ask once more to make sure but she sounded like she knew what she was talking about...
