Shadi's North Andover

Shadi’s Restaurant and Lounge in North Andover is located in a strip mall on Rte 125 and is easy to miss. I was looking forward to my visit here and trying something new.

Plenty of free parking. They even have outside seating.

The pleasant and bright dining room. Notice that there is no rolled up silverware here. This is always a good sign, and the place was also impeccably clean.

The bar area with both bar seating and high tops. There is also a smaller dining room to my right.

And the new, to me, dish. Raw Kibbe ** (Friday and Saturday only) $12.50. "Ground lean beef, mixed with cracked wheat and spices". The two asterisks mean it could be served raw or undercooked. Duh! You can also order this as a baked kibbe. This was a big plate with delicious and well-seasoned meat, ground very fine. It was served with mint leaves and raw onion and an unlimited supply of pita bread. The pita bread was really fresh and light. Considering what you pay for a minuscule portion of beef tartar, this was the bargain of the week. It was also enough for two people as a light lunch. I'm so happy when I get to try a new dish and it's delicious. They have a good amount of lunch specials that I have to come back and try. The service was amicable and it was service with a smile.
