Our Fathers Boston

Our Fathers in Boston has got rave reviews for their deli-style food. They have also posted gorgeous pictures on IG.

First there is the restaurant Our Fathers.

Then there is the Deli. Nobody could explain the hand-cut versus what? There was plenty of metered on-street parking, and you get the first hour free.

There are a limited menu and two tables. Corned beef by the pound is $35.

The REUBEN ($13.95). "Corned beef, barrel-cured sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and Russian dressing on black bread". You get a pickle and a green tomato quarter. It was a cold sandwich, so the cheese didn't melt but look at that corned beef! No thinly sliced mushy meat here. The bread was soft, but the paper-thin slice of cheese made no impact. The kraut was very good with a nice crunch. The corned beef was super tender, but it was very bland. Where are the spices? Where is the seasoning? I even picked out a few slices to try them on their own, but it was still bland. Of the Russian dressing, there was no trace, neither visually or by taste. The pickle was excellent, and I really liked the pickled green tomato quarter.
