It's worth signing up for their Circle of Friends card. Today I had a free Entree loaded so I headed out to Margaritas in Waltham since the food and attitude is so much better than their Lexington location.
What happened to their colourful sign? They have off-street parking behind the restaurant.
They have a big bar area, and this seemed the place to be, so I grabbed a high top here. The patio was bustling today. The chips are excellent but the salsa was just tomato with a few pieces of onions mixed in.
GUADALAJARA STEAK FAJITAS ($17.50). "Boldly seasoned with cracked pepper and spices from south of the border". Hold the sour cream. All the trimmings arrived on the small plate in the background. The guacamole was good, but it wasn't exactly an abundance of it. I picked the refried beans since they are very good here. Creamy but they still have texture, and they are also seasoned. The steak was tender and well seasoned, and somebody was smart enough to place the steak on top of the onions and peppers, so it didn't overcook. The service was pleasant, but the staff seems to get assigned tables all over the place.
