Ginger Bedford

I felt like a small splurge was in order, so I headed to Ginger in Bedford for some Japanese cuisine.

They are located just up the road from the newly renovated plaza were Whole Foods resides. On street parking and there is also parking available behind the restaurant.

There was actually three Sushi Chefs working, and they were kept busy on this busy Friday lunch.

Nice modern interior and it was nice and bright inside. The place was completely filled up shortly after the picture was taken and it got to be fairly loud in here.

I started with an order of Tatsuta-age (6.50). "Fried marinated chicken." The chicken was tender with a nice crisp outside and well seasoned. This was delicious!

Soup and salad are included with your lunch. The salad had some dressing on top and was served in a plastic bowl. The soup wasn't too bad, and I saw someone add soy sauce to the soup, I'll have to try that the next time.

I went for the Chirashi ($15.50) from the lunch menu. The fish was fresh and nice apart from the red snapper that had started to dry out a bit. They still insist on calling the albacore white tuna. The rice was at the right temperature and nicely seasoned. Not sure what the sauce on top of the seared tuna was, but it was seriously spicy.
