Daniella’s Cafe and Market in Danvers have been there for about three years but was only recently brought to my attention.
They are located north of the Liberty Tree Mall and have plenty of off-street parking.
The market section greets you when you arrive.
They had a very pleasant dining room that didn't remain this empty for very long. I wish the chairs were a bit sturdier and that the bar seats had backs on them.
Some fantastic warm bread arrives with a pleasant dipping oil, that might have a little bit too much parmesan. Linen napkins with good quality silverware.
I started with their Arancini ($9.95). "Saffron risotto, bolognese", said the online menu, but was just a normal risotto. The arancini were crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, and the rice was cooked perfectly. The Bolognese was excellent, and a proper bolognese. This and the bread would make for an excellent lunch.
Since I got the Bolognese with my app, I ordered the "Spaghetti with house made meatballs, of course!" ($12.95 online and $13.95 on the menu). The pasta was cooked al dente and had just a coating of the bright tomato sauce, as it should be. Fresh pasta can be had for $3 more. The meatballs were excellent, light and very well seasoned. This was two very enjoyable dishes. The flowers on the table were real flowers. The service was also very good, and it was service with a smile.
They have a nice little patio.
Today's sandwiches in the market were Meatballs and Chicken Parm.
