Tavern on Merrimack Lawrence

The Reuben has been mentioned as being good at Tavern on Merrimack in Lawrence. They are open and you can see all the gas work that has been done in the streets.

I have been on Merrimack street multiple times but never noticed them.

Surprise, it's a bar, but the food has a good reputation.

Reuben (10.95). "Corned beef, swiss cheese, house made thousand island dressing and braised cabbage “kraut” grilled inside marble rye or a flour tortilla". Having never had a Reuben in a tortilla I went with that. The tortilla had been griddled a bit too hard, so it was extra crispy. I also think that the dressing had evaporated. The corned beef was good. It also needed to be more kraut in there. What was there had been warmed up, and lost its crispiness. The fries were excellent, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The service from the bartender was pleasant.
