The Loft North Andover

This weeks Reuben is brought to you by The Loft in North Andover. I had them bookmarked, but I don't remember why. More notes.

It's a funky looking building. Private parking.

The downstairs bar was nice. There are hightops to the right.

There is another bar upstairs and also dining rooms.

Whipped butter and a warm roll and a cold piece of cornbread arrive. Nice napkin but very cheap silverware. The cornbread was very light and fluffy. If I had known about the cornbread, I would have asked for a corner piece.

Reuben (13.99). "Traditional Rueben with corned beef, sauerkraut, Mad Russian dressing and melted Swiss on grilled marble rye". The French Fries were exceptionally good. Barely crisped up and fluffy on the inside. The Reuben had thinly sliced corned beef, but it was from the brisket and it was tasty. The bread was toasted enough to melt the cheese but not enough to warm up the corned beef. The sauerkraut was tasty, but there was hardly any present. With triple the sauerkraut and adding dressing this could have been an excellent Reuben. It was still a decent Reuben.

Another thing that was mostly absent was the dressing, but that was easily remediated. The dressing was interesting but more like Thousand Island dressing since it was on the sweeter side. Did I mention that the fries were very good? The service was very pleasant.
