I have been going to Loui Loui in Stoneham for their lunch offerings, and I have been delighted with the food.
The sign now says Capt Loui instead of Loui Loui, but the website still says Loui Loui.
Ther menu is simple, and you order at the counter, get a buzzer and pick up utensils and condiments at the pickup window. They do have a beer and wine license.
Lunch Shrimp Basket ($9.95) with Cajun Fries and Jambalaya. A soft drink is also included. The good sized shrimps were perfectly fried, and the batter was SEASONED! I can't remember the last time this happened. The Cajun fries were cooked really well and had more than a hint of heat. They did need salt. Both the remoulade and the tartar sauce are tasty, but I prefer the remoulade. The Jambalaya was very tasty with lots of good stuff in it. It was also almost spicy. It's nearly a meal in itself. This meal was really good and a good value for the money. I noticed that somebody got a lunch fish basket and it was two big pieces of fish. If the fish is cooked as well as the shrimp was, this could be a winner.
