Fishbones Chelmsford.

I really like Fishbones in Chelmsford, excellent food and service and they, most days, post their lunch menu online. Lunch on a day like today is tricky, most Chinese restaurants will call it a holiday and not serve from the lunch menu and the same for Indian restaurants, and if they have a buffet, it will be weekend prices.
If you are thinking about going north on Rte 128 from the Burlington area today, think again.

I spied PANKO FISH AND CHIPS ($10.99) on the lunch menu and that sounded good. "Panko fried scrod, served with french fries, cole slaw and a honey sriracha sauce". The coated french fries alone are worth the trip and the fish was nice, crunchy on the outside and flaky inside. This was a generous portion for the price. The honey sriracha sauce wasn't too sweet or too spicy and was a nice touch. The cole slaw is strange here, it's just shredded cabbage and carrots. So what is scrod? It used to denote a young cod but now it means just about any white fish.

The outside patio is now draped in a light fabric that keeps the sun's glare down and it's really a nice improvement.
