Lester's BBQ Burlington

Lester's Roadside BBQ in Burlington is located on the outskirts of Burlington on Rte 3A and is one of the better bbq places in the area. I don't go here too often since I seriously dislike Rte 3A, it's a two lane road EXCEPT at the traffic lights and people doesn't seem to understand this. Also, trying to get out when the road is busy to go back towards Burlington is almost impossible.

It's a nice place, too bad it's on Rte 3A. Plenty of parking and they also have a pleasant outside patio.

A small Wing Platter ($8.99) comes with 6 wings and two sides. I also decided to order one rib ($2.99). The sides were Baked Beans that was nice and thick and really good but a bit too sweet for my liking. The mashed potatoes with gravy needed salt but apart from they were excellent even if the skins was still in there. The wings were really good, not as crisp as I would have liked but with a very nice smoky flavor. The flats were nice and moist, but the drummettes were borderline dry. The rib was very good, moist and smoky and the meat needed a little pull to separate from the bone, just as it should be. No visible smoke ring but a very nice flavor. The cornbread was moist but a bit bland.

The interior is nice and bright from the big windows and there is plenty of seating. They had four BBQ sauces available and they also sell beer.
