Lui Lui Nashua

I heard a rumor that Lui Lui in Nashua was doing half priced apps all day on Tuesdays and it turned out to be correct, so I headed up there for lunch today.

They are located on the busy Daniel Webster Hwy but have plenty of off-street parking.

The upstairs dining room was nice and bright and despite what the special menu said, the half priced apps and drinks were available here as well as in the bar downstairs.

Brick oven pizza and the famous Italian waiter.

Rolls and a tasty dipping oil arrived quickly.

There was good selection off apps available and first to arrive was the Arancini balls that were crispy and really light with a nice dipping sauce. "Crispy fried risotto balls filled with mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese and fresh herbs, served with a basil aioli."

CALAMARI FRITTI. "Flash fried and served with basil aioli and marinara." Light and crispy and perfectly tender, excellent fry job on these and you get both rings and legs.

Mussels. "Fresh P.E.I. Mussels sautéed with chopped garlic, bacon and tomato in a light broth with a hint of gorgonzola". The mussels were also cooked perfectly and were very tender in a delicious broth.

LUI LUI MEATBALLS. "Three (actually four) housemade meatballs in basil marinara topped with melted mozzarella cheese." Excellent tender and tasty meatballs in a very pleasant sauce. I forgot to note down the prices but they ranged from $4 to $7. All of the above with a bottle of Pellegrino come to just over $21 with tax but before tip so this was a pretty good deal and I was really surprised how good and tasty everything was. They also have $2 beer.
