Blu Karma Danvers

Blu Karma in Danvers gets much love on social media, so it was time to give them a try. They also serve from their lunch menu seven days a week, excluding holidays.

They are located just off Rte 128 and have a smallish private parking lot.

It's a small place, and they had two sushi chefs, and two waitresses working. Nice and bright and impeccably clean. Surprisingly, knife and fork were the default eating utensils that I quickly traded for a set of chopsticks.

A yelp Check-in resulted in a free Crab Chips that was delicious. Fake crab, of course, but the "chips" was super light, and the crab was really tasty with an almost gochujang like sauce on the plate.

I had to order the Spicy Edamame (7.50) since that's one thing everyone seems to rave about. They were really good, but I wouldn't call them spicy, I would go with just tasty. Having had some more of this, I have to admit that there was some heat involved.

Not a picture of an H&S soup again! Yes, because this H&S soup was excellent and both hot and sour. It looks a bit light but wasn't.

A Bento Box with Aromatic Crispy Chicken (12.95) comes with California Maki, 3 pieces of Japanese Shumai and salad. The salad had the usual dressing and as usual, it was only on top. The Shumais were substantial and tasty. The maki was the same. The crispy chicken was crispy, but also on the drier side. It was marked as spicy, and I ordered it extra spicy, and that failed too. The veggies were cooked nicely and the sauce was tasty with a hint of heat.

I might have to come back, the Larb Spring Rolls really intrigues me. They also have Tokyo Market special on the specials menu. Occasionally, they get a box of fish from the Tokyo Fish Market with random fish inside. The service was very nice, as was the manager.
