Szechuan's Dumpling Arlington

Still trying to work my way through the extensive lunch menu at Szechuan's Dumpling in Arlington.

After I got my water and peanuts, an order of Kim Chi (menu spelling) arrived by magic. It was nice and crisp and tangy.

The soup was interesting for once and had a white fungus in a pork broth. The mushroom was called Tomilla, I think and was very interesting both in texture and taste. Both very good.

Main dish today was stir fried Clam with Basil that come in a black bean sauce and the whole thing was delicious! The clams were tender and really plump and cooked perfectly. Unfortunately, there was grit left and also broken shells in the sauce and that kind of ruined a very tasty dish. The sauce was also very thick and made the whole thing a mess to eat since it stuck to your fingers.
