Godavari Woburn

I have been to Godavari in Woburn a few times now for their lunch buffet and even if the price is a bit high, the quality and the seasoning of the dishes continues to impress me. That you have to ask for a knife, is something I can live with.

They have finally got the sign up in the old Ambassador place.

The Upma Bonda (bottom) was a delightful surprise and very good. The Potato 65 was very tasty, but stone cold but the papads are always good. I tried the Rasam soup this time and it was really good, nice and tart.

There have been rumors that you get a Dosa at lunch and today it actually happened. It was a small plain dosa but very tasty.

The good stuff. Chicken Dum Biryani was really good and had whole drumsticks included. Peaus(!) and Carrot Poriyal is what the sign said and it was OK. The Pepper Kabab was Tandoori chicken with black pepper added and it was tasty but hard to cut with a spoon. Next is the Chilly Chicken (again their spelling) and it was tender chicken with a good amount of heat. The Butter Chicken was also very tasty, as was the Guntur Chicken Curry. Very impressive spicing and everything was nice and hot, apart from the potato app. Outside the picture, there is a Tadka Dal in a cup and it was very tasty. A very nice lunch and I managed to restrain myself, so I'm only somewhat stuffed.
