Del Frisco's Grille Chestnut Hill

I was recently invited to a media event at Del Frisco's Grille in Chestnut Hill to promote their newly revamped ‘Grab a Pair’ ($12) lunch menu featuring a soup or salad paired with the choice of:
  • Personal sized flatbread (Roasted Tomato, Wild Mushroom, Spicy Meatball or Sausage & Pepperoni)
  • Half of a BBQ Pork Bahn Mi
  • Half of a Chicken Avocado Wrap
  • Two Fish Tacos

They are located in the renovated The Street area in Chestnut Hill and the dining room is overlooking Hammond Pond.

We were greeted by the manager Eric Stevens and their signature cocktail, The VIP (10.5) made with Sweet Hawaiian Pineapple-Infused Svedka Clementine Vodka. It was very refreshing.

Here is the Half of a Chicken Avocado Wrap with a Mixed Greens Salad and House-made Chips that is part of the Grab a Pair selection. Eric was a very gracious host and brought out each course and explained the philosophy behind each dish. They are trying to appeal to the lighter lunch crowd that might not have time for a full business lunch.

Another choice is the 2 Fish Tacos here seen with the Caesar Salad. This was really good and very light. The fish is cod and it was cooked really nicely and were still moist and flaky.

From the standard menu, Guacamole with Crisp Corn Tortillas ($10). The guacamole was nice and chunky.

This is the full sized Flatbread with Spicy Pork Meatball Roasted Tomato Sauce, Banana Pepper, Fresh Mozzarella, House-Made Ricotta. It wasn't really that spicy, but the banana peppers added a nice kick and the ricotta was delicious. The pork meatballs are locally sourced pork.

Asian Street Tacos (10.5) with BBQ Pork, Pickled Daikon & Carrot, Cucumber, Cilantro, Chiles was really tasty and fresh with crunchy veggies.

Lollipop Chicken Wings (12.5) Buffalo Style with Avocado Ranch Dressing. I really liked these guys, easy to eat since you could just grab hold of the bone and the buffalo sauce was nice and tangy and the Avocado Ranch Dressing also kept the heat down.

Heirloom Tomato & Burrata (12.5) with Balsamic Vinegar, Basil Oil, Micro Greens. Light and refreshing with an excellent burrata.

I'm not much of a salad guy, but I was surprised at how much I liked the Chopped Chicken & Farm Greens Salad (13). Chicken, Tomato, Carrot, Roasted Pine Nuts, Blue Cheese, Dijon Mustard Vinaigrette.

Dessert time, finally, Butterscotch Pudding Jar (8). Salted Caramel, Whipped Cream was absolutely delicious!

The Adult Milkshake (11) are made with Nocello Walnut Liqueur, Creme de Cacao, Chocolate Liqueur, Vanilla Ice Cream wasn't bad either. Very refreshing and the Walnut Liqueur made it even more interesting.

Interior is very nice and they have a function room in the back and the windows overlook the Hammond Pond with a nice view and spectacular sunsets. Behind me are a big bar and ample booth seating.
