Chinese Mirch in Framingham is serving "CHINESE FOOD INDIAN FLAVORS" and loosely translated the name means spicy Chinese food. You can read more about the background HERE.
They are located just off Rte 9 and I was really curious about this place since it has gotten really mixed reviews on social media. They have been here for 6 years so they must be doing something right.
The interior is sleek and modern and but it was freezing inside.
More of the interior and the place was nice and bright. Did I mention cold?
Lunch specials run from $9.99-$11.99 and include soup, entree with noodles or fried rice and dessert. Today's soup was Hot & Sour and it was really hot and different with cabbage and tofu. It was a very pleasant soup. Depending on where you was seated you got either linen napkins or paper napkins.
You also get a condiment tray with chili paste (sambal?), green chile vinegar and soy sauce.
For my entree, I picked the Hyderabadi Chicken ($9.99) with Hakka noodles. The chicken was marked as three star spicy and it was not, maybe one star, but it was very tasty even if it was just lukewarm. It was a good amount of chicken. The Hakka Noodles was the star of the day. Perfectly cooked and seasoned noodles with a couple of different onions added and also some cabbage made this a delicious dish and it was also piping hot. For dessert, it was Gulab Jamun but I was stuffed and left it, normally too sweet for me. Apart from the temperature in the restaurant, I was very happy with my meal. Good value for the money and all the other customers was Indian.
