My Other Kitchen Belmont

My Other Kitchen in Belmont was opened in April of '14 in small space next to Rte 60 by the son of the couple who ran Andros Diner, a longtime fixture on Trapelo Road.

Shouldn't the name really be Your Other Kitchen? They have a nice smallish private parking area.

Today was a perfect day to take advantage of their shaded outdoor seating. It's literally feet from the busy Rte60 so it can be noisy when the trucks thunder past.

There is counter seating next to the big windows. Otherwise, this is it. Order at the counter and the food is brought out to you when ready.

Specials are on the blackboard and there is a serve yourself water station with real glasses.

With all the Greek heritage, I decided to try the Lamb Burger ($10.50). "Fresh cuts of ground lamb, ligthly seasoned with Greek herbs, spices & grilled until tender. Served with Tsatsiki sauce, onions & tomato". The online menu said $10 but the reality was different and it also said "served with a choice of potato chips, rice or cole slaw" but you could pick any side so I went with the roasted potatoes. The nicely charred burger was served on an Iggy's roll that was toasted. Not only was the burger on the smaller side it was also, naturally, way overcooked but despite that it was still juicy and seasoned really well, a little too well in regards to the salt content. The potatoes were nice and lemony and also seasoned well and really tasty but was overcooked and hence mushy on the inside. The tzatziki sauce was excellent and the tomato actually tasted of tomato. The people working there was super friendly and nice.
