Spicepepper Garden Acton

Bonsai West is having their Fall Open House this weekend, so that was a good excuse to revisit Spicepepper Garden in Acton. This is a little gem for Sichuan cuisine located in the distant burbs.

I went for Dry-fried Chicken in Hot Dry Red Pepper (12.50). Really nice and crispy chicken that was still moist and really tasty. It was marked as two peppers on the menu and it actually lived up to that! A very nice amount of heat but you could still taste the chicken. The next dish on the menu was Dry-braised Chicken in Mixed Hot Peppers. How can you dry braise anything, so I had to ask the waitress and it turns out they mean stir fried.

Not the brightest inside I have seen, but it's nice and clean and they even have put up a screen before the waitress station. Some nice classical music was playing in the background. They had one other customer at the sushi counter but people kept on trickling in. Service is always pleasant and friendly here.
