The Local Woburn

The Local in Woburn took over the space vacated by Masa when they closed down. They are a local chain that now has four locations.

They are in the same plaza as Whole Food and that's pretty convenient. They are open daily for lunch and dinner and are serving brunch on Sat & Sun.

The interior is pleasant with a nice color scheme.

There is still high tops next to the windows. All Brunch Things are priced at $16 and include either a Mimosa or a Bloody Mary.

I settled on the CRABBY BENNY. "Lump crab, house english muffin, chive hollandaise". The muffin was tender and light, and crab cakes were excellent. One egg was perfect, and the other one was overcooked. How do they manage that when the eggs are cooked at the same time? Not the first time that has happened to me. But where is the Chive Hollandaise? I got the chives and just a trace of sauce. No greenery or other decorations on the plate.

The copper bar has been replaced by a marble bar.

The dining area. There is another dining room further down, so they have a lot of seating, but the restaurant still feels intimate, due to the layout. They have a fairly extensive menu, but the prices are on the high side.
