Barbeque International Somerville

Barbeque International in Somerville has a few lunch specials, and I have been dying to try one. Barbeque International is morphing into Himalayan Kitchen after the owner, who also runs Singh's Cafe in Wellesley left. The staff will be the same, as will the menu.

There is free parking after the restaurant.

They are geared for takeout, but there are six tables if you want to dine in. There is water on the counter. You can only find the lunch offerings on the takeout menu.

Chef Special Goat Curry ($9.99). "All lunch specials come with fresh salad, basmati rice & naan". Is it a salad if there is no dressing? The rice was fluffy and fragrant, but the naan was a bit stale. It worked well to scoop up the gravy. The goat curry was excellent, not spicy, but very well seasoned. It's a goat curry, so it does have bones, but that's expected. The goat was tender and tasty. An excellent curry and a nice lunch.
