Sweet Cheeks Q Boston

Even since I saw Tiffani Faison on Top Chef I have meant to try her restaurant, Sweet Cheeks Q in Boston but never got around to it until today. It's on Boylston Street and parking can be tricky, but I lucked out and found parking really close.

A big room with lots of light from the windows.

Their famous biscuits are not included in the lunch trays, but somehow I got one regardless. It was very light but very sweet as was the whipped honey butter. Nothing is sauced here and they provide three sauces, the green one was hot, the red one was a vinegar based sauce and the right one was a normal bbq sauce. All of them was really tasty.

Berkshire Pork Belly Tray ($13) comes with Pickles and Onions. As a side (a scoop) I picked Mac & Cheese and also ordered a single rib ($3.50). First the ribs were tender and smokey and really good but also very very salty. Now where is the rest of the rib? The pork belly was good but also salty and the bottom third was seriously dry and chewy and there was no crackling. The Mac & Cheese was really creamy with nice garlicky breadcrumbs on top, but the pasta was seriously al dente and lacked salt. Overall I think it was too expensive, but the service was excellent.
