Kings in Lynnfield is located in the new Market Street complex and I decided to take the backroads up to here today for some Saturday lunch.
There is plenty of parking, easiest is just to park behind them. There is also outdoor seating but not today. Even if the sun was out, it was still a bit too chilly to sit outside.
Yes, there is bowling!
Buffalo Chicken Wings ( small $7.50). You only get the drummettes, but they were nicely frenched and the celery was fresh. The Blue Cheese dipping sauce was very mild and didn't really taste of blue cheese. The chicken was cooked really nicely, crisp on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside.
This is the NEW ENGLAND FISH & CHIPS ($14). "Battered with Fries & Coleslaw served with Homemade Roasted Red Pepper Tartar Sauce". The fish was cooked perfectly and the batter was light and very crispy. Unfortunately, both the fish and the batter was completely unseasoned. The coated fries were also unsalted but perfectly cooked. The tartar sauce was delicious and so was the coleslaw. Apart from the seasoning issue I was really impressed by the quality of the cooking.
There is also pool tables available.
Want something a bit quieter? There are a bar and table seating just inside the doors to the right.
