MuLan in Waltham has finally reopened after closing to expand next door in May of this year. I visited just before closing and had a special dish and I couldn't wait to try it again.
Nice new sign decorates the outside of the expanded restaurant.
The dish? Mulan Special fish ($14.95) is a big bowl of perfectly cooked fish in a fiery broth, they don't hold back on the spiciness here.
I also ordered Egg Fried Rice ($6.95) and again it was a BIG plate with nicely seasoned rice and fluffy eggs. What a nice meal this was. It might look a bit expensive, but I'll get at least three meals out of this.
This is the old dining room side that has been expanded a bit to the left.
View of the new front desk and you can see a bit of the function room to the left and there is also more seating over there. As you can see they were really busy at lunch today, lots of families dining out but they have a good number of the big round tables available. I'm looking forward to lots of meals here in the future, they have a huge lunch specials menu. Street parking is still free, I have never known a town to remove parking meters and not replace them with something else.
