Foundry On Elm is another restaurant located in Davis Square and doesn't look like much from the outside.
But the inside was spacious and really gorgeous with a bistro like feeling with its long marble bar and red leather seating.
From the smallish lunch menu, I picked the Poutine (9). "French fries, cheddar curds, hot beef gravy". The food took a while to arrive, but this was delicious with excellent, but unsalted, fries and curds with a really rich gravy. Good, eh?
I also ordered the Dry Rubbed Wings (11) because you can never have too much wings. "Chili-spiced wings, grilled lime, spicy remoulade". If there was any chili-rub, it was either very mild or it was missing. The wings were enormous and nice and crisp on the outside and really juicy on the inside. The spicy remoulade was excellent and of course, the waitress failed to include it in my leftover bag. Being a seasoned doggy bagger I checked before I left and got it included.
Their poutine used to come with "bacon gravy" and it was wonderful. Everytime I go I suggest they return to it.
