Priya Lowell

For this week's Indian lunch adventure, I decided to pay another visit to Priya in Lowell and their buffet.

They are located in a very busy strip mall and parking can both tight and sparse.

Down we go since they are located in the basement.

Despite being without windows, the place is well lit and impeccably clean. You can also enjoy Indian Soap Operas on the flat screen TVs.

They have an ample buffet ($10.95) and advertise on their website that there are 22 items available which I really doubt since there are only 12 trays on the steam table.

Fresh naan was brought to the table and it was really nice, light and fluffy and brushed with butter. The Sambar soup was really delicious as was the Onion Pakora and the Fried Idly. The idly was coated in a salt and pepper mix.

This is the first trip to the buffet. Tandoori chicken was really good, moist and flavorful. Above the chicken is a surprisingly good Chicken Vindaloo. The Saag Panner was tasty and really spicy, especially for a buffet. The Channa Masala was also very tasty and I also really liked the Cabbage Poriyal. It was slightly sweet but delicious. The second trip was for more Tandoori Chicken, Vindaloo and cabbage. I was much impressed with the amount of flavor in all the dishes. Overall I would say that this is one of the better buffets in and around Boston.
