Back to Sichuan Gourmet in Burlington for some Sunday lunch on a pretty gray and cold day but some Sichuan food should brighten up the day.
It ended up being an appetizer day and there is nothing wrong with that, right? I started with the Spicy Fried Chicken Wings ($10.50) and that turned out to be 12 pieces of wings that were nice and crisp on the outside and juicy and moist on the inside. However, they were just mildly spicy, despite being marked with two peppers on the menu, and the mild green peppers didn't help with the heat level either.
The Sichuan Cold Noodles ($6.50) looked innocent enough when they arrived. Not sure what the crispy bits on top was, could have been roasted garlic.
Mixing things up changed the picture a bit since now the chili oil and the black vinegar starts to show up. This was a very pleasant dish and was actually packing a bit of heat but was only marked as one pepper on the menu.
