I haven't been back to a Bon Me for over a year, but I was at that time impressed by the sandwich, so it was time for another visit.
On this rainy Saturday, I picked their Fresh Pond location. It's easy to get to and have a fair amount of off-street parking.
The wooden seating isn't exactly comfortable, but that makes sense since they want to move people quickly.
The sandwich ($7) had only gone up fifty cents, so that wasn't too bad. Today's special protein was Red Curry Chicken, and I had to go with that. "Our take on the classic Vietnamese bánh mì! Toasted baguette with pickled carrots & daikon, cucumber, cilantro, red onion, housemade spicy mayo and housemade pork pate". They have now amended the description to include a reference to bánh mì since that is what this really is. This is one big sandwich with plenty of chicken. The Red Curry Chicken was tender and delicious even if it was only somewhat spicy. This is one good sandwich, and I ate the whole thing, much to my surprise. They also serve a Pho that looked really good.
