Liberty Bell Stoneham

Much praise has been heaped on the Melrose location, and after my last visit, I had no praise for them at all. Time to try the Liberty Bell in Stoneham that is much closer. Their website is extremely slow.

They are close to Rte 28 and have plenty of parking.

The inside was clean and in good condition. The tables got the occasional wipe off.

The Shrimp Basket ($12.99) it was. The shrimp was really crispy on the outside, and as a result, the shrimp inside was dry and overcooked. The fries, on the other hand, was excellent, coated and fried perfectly. The same goes for the onion rings, evenly cut and cooked nicely. The tartar sauce was good. I might be back for something else that includes the fries. Anyone else north of Boston that does a good shrimp basket? Excluding Essex, that is way to pricey on everything. The lunch fried shrimp at Loui Loui in Stoneham was really good and well worth the price.
