Oishii Sushi Chestnut Hill

The minuscule Oishii Sushi in Chestnut Hill is a longtime hidden gem with some of the best sushi around. They have been here forever and a day.

The parking is on street metered parking only but there is a very tempting lot across Rte 9 with free parking.

Apart from the table that you can see in the window in the previous picture, this is it. There was actually four chefs working and a waitress in addition to the hostess. Well, the fourth chef was busy prepping cucumbers.

I picked the SASHIMI SPECIAL ($19) from the OISHII LUNCH BOX SPECIALS. "Tuna, Salmon and Hamachi Sashimi." The Miso soup wasn't worth taking a picture of. The salad was fresh with a big blob of dressing dumped in the middle. The fish was excellent and super fresh and well worth the price. I think I prefer Oishii Too in Sudbury. Parking is free and the salad was better.
