Best Lunches in 2017

Best Dim Sum in Malden has to go to Yong Yong out of the three that serves Dim Sum every day. I really like that you order from a menu and the food is brought out fresh. The prices are also very reasonable during the week for lunch.

The Porch in Wakefield has only gotten better and better as the years passed by. Try their Hot Nashville wings.

C.K. Pearl in Essex is worth mentioning both for the food and the view. There are some restaurants up there that could learn something about battering clams from them.

Best lunch deals have to be the half-priced wings at Buffalo Wild Wings and the half-priced tacos at Temazcal Cantina in Lynnfield. Both deals are available Tuesdays only.

Best new Indian lunch buffet goes to Singh Ching in Burlington. Very tasty food on the buffet. Don't miss the Fish Pakora.

Most visited goes to Taipei Gourmet in Lexington. Run by a very friendly woman with excellent food coming out of the kitchen.

Best lunch Chirashi ($12.95) goes to Toraya in Arlington.

The best new place for Pho goes to Pho Paris in Peabody.

Most surprised by the food award goes to The Anchor Pub in Beverly. Twin lobsters with one side $15.99? A few more dollars today since lobsters are now at their prime. Seafood Pie $11.95 is jam-packed with lobster, shrimp and scallops.

Best new BBQ is a tossup between Hoppy's in Peabody and the Rusty Can in Byfield.

Most improved in both food and interior goes to The Lobster Claw in North Reading.

Best breakfast/lunch spot goes to Blue Moon Grill in Wakefield.

Most missed are Gin-U-Dee in Stoneham. Where else can I go and say to the owner "Cook me something"?

Best burger goes to Brodie's Pub in Peabody. The outside looks a bit scary, but their food is phenomenal.

I usually have one or two entries for worst lunch, but this year I can only come up with one, and that's Sauce in Andover. They only do wings, ribs and burgers so you would think that they can cook a burger to order. My first visit for wings and ribs was OK.
